The Challenge

Makeup and cosmetics packaging represent a significant and often invisible stream of hard-to-recycle waste on university campuses. This packaging is often too small for standard recycling streams, consists of mixed materials, and contains product residue that contaminates regular recycling processes, ultimately leading it to landfills or incinerators.

The solution

COSMETIC CYCLE provides a specialized and accessible recycling solution for the university community. We place strategic 'Beauty Boxes' across campus to collect used cosmetics packaging. Through specialized sorting and partnerships for advanced recycling (special treatment), we ensure these materials are recovered and returned to a circular economy, rather than ending up in landfills.
