The Mission
PadelConnects is on a mission to become the digital infrastructure for the padel ecosystem. Padel is the fastest-growing racket sport in Europe, but the way players organise matches hasn't kept up. Finding a fourth player, meeting opponents at your level, or discovering new clubs and players still happens through chaotic WhatsApp groups and fragmented communities. Players stay stuck in the same small circles, clubs miss out on new faces, and the sport's growth is limited by its own informal infrastructure. PadelConnects solves this by connecting players, clubs, trainers and brands on one platform. Players find matches at their skill level across clubs. Clubs fill their courts and attract new members through club challenges. Trainers reach the right audience. Brands engage with an active community. PadelConnects will launch in Belgian and Dutch Limburg and are scaling province by province. The long-term vision is to be the connective layer of padel: wherever you play, whoever you play with, PadelConnects makes it effortless to find the right match.
The Challenge
Padel is booming, but the infrastructure to connect players, clubs and the wider ecosystem hasn't kept up. Europe now counts over 30 million padel players, and the sport is growing faster than any other racket sport in history. Yet the way people actually organise matches has barely evolved beyond chaotic WhatsApp groups. Players spend hours searching for a third or fourth player, struggle to find opponents at their level, and end up playing with the same small circle week after week. New players, in particular, get stuck: without an existing network, getting on court is surprisingly hard. The problem extends beyond players. Clubs see empty courts during off-peak hours while players nearby can't find a match. Trainers have no scalable way to reach the right audience. Equipment brands invest heavily in top players but lack a direct channel to the recreational community driving the sport's real growth. Existing platforms either focus narrowly on court booking (like Playtomic) or on specific clubs in isolation. None of them connect the full ecosystem — players, clubs, trainers and brands — in one place. That's the gap PadelConnects fills.
The solution
PadelConnects is a matchmaking and community platform that connects the full padel ecosystem in one place. At its core, players create or join open matches at their skill level, find that last-minute fourth player, and meet new opponents beyond their usual circle. A smart tiering system — based on official federation ratings (KNLTB in the Netherlands, Tennis & Padel Vlaanderen in Vlaanderen) — ensures that matches are balanced and enjoyable from beginner to elite level. For clubs, PadelConnects drives court occupancy during off-peak hours and attracts new members through club challenges: time-bound competitions that reward players for meeting new opponents on a specific club's courts. For trainers, the platform will offer a dedicated space to showcase their expertise and reach players at the right level. And for equipment brands, it provides direct access to an active, engaged community of recreational players. The platform is available as a Progressive Web App, and will soon be available as an iOS app and an Android app, lowering the barrier to adoption across devices. Built in Maastricht at the heart of the Meuse-Rhine Euregion, PadelConnects launched in Belgian and Dutch Limburg — a cross-border market where players, clubs and federations from two countries naturally meet. This unique setting allows us to validate the platform across different ecosystems from day one, with a clear path to scale province by province, and eventually beyond the Benelux.
