The Challenge

At the same time, cultivating these fruits locally is challenging due to Europe's varying climate conditions and the energy requirements of maintaining suitable growing environments. The solution

Serre explores the development of advanced greenhouses that enable the cultivation of selected exotic and subtropical fruits in Europe. By integrating renewable energy sources, smart climate-control systems and innovative greenhouse technologies, Serre aims to create controlled growing environments that replicate the conditions these fruits need to thrive. The initial focus would be on researching the technical and economic feasibility of cultivating selected fruit varieties in European conditions.
