The Mission

We are building a language learning app where users practice conversations with different personas, such as a client, a best friend, parents-in-law, or a teacher. Each persona requires a different tone and level of formality, so users learn not only correct language but also socially appropriate language. The app looks like a familiar WhatsApp-style chat, making practice feel natural and easy to fit into daily life. Users get instant corrections and improvement tips, so they build confidence for real conversations.

The Challenge

Most language apps focus on vocabulary and grammar but do not teach people how to adjust their language to different social situations. As a result, learners often know the words but still feel unsure how to talk to a boss, a friend, or their partner’s family. Opportunities to practice these conversations with real people, and get honest feedback, are limited.

The solution

We offer a chat-based app where users can talk anytime with AI personas that represent real-life relationships. Each persona responds in a realistic way, and users receive immediate corrections and tips on grammar, word choice, and appropriate tone. The familiar chat interface lowers the barrier to practice, helping users become fluent and socially confident in their new language.
