The Mission
We want to build an infrastructure for labs that records each step of a chemical experiment as it happens and turns it into a written list. Scientists can then use this list as a reliable basis for writing a detailed protocol for each compound or reaction. This way, we aim to improve the accuracy of lab documentation and make it much easier to recreate experiments.
The Challenge
Many experiments are hard to reproduce because protocols are documented inaccurately or incompletely. Scientists often write things down afterwards or skip small but important details, which leads to failed replications, wasted time and materials, and less reliable research.
The solution
We propose a lab system that captures every step of an experiment and automatically converts it into a structured written list. The scientist reviews this list and expands it into a detailed protocol for the specific compound or reaction. This combines automatic, accurate recording with the scientist’s own expertise, resulting in protocols that others can actually follow.
