The Mission

SoulSummary’s mission is to make mental health support more accessible, practical, and approachable for men. The platform helps men who feel stuck, isolated, or unsure about their direction by combining psychology, self-development, community, and professional guidance into one structured system. Instead of offering scattered self-help content or expensive support, SoulSummary provides clear tools, guided exercises, and practical steps that help users understand themselves, build confidence, regulate emotions, and take action in daily life. By creating a space specifically designed for men, SoulSummary reduces stigma and makes personal growth feel more normal, safe, and empowering. The goal is to help men move from overthinking and disconnection toward clarity, support, and real personal progress.

The Challenge

We are facing a growing but often invisible crisis: young men are increasingly lost, isolated, and unsupported. Globally, 1 in 8 people suffers from a mental health disorder, yet men are significantly less likely to seek help. Studies show that men are up to 3 times less likely to access therapy, despite accounting for around 75% of suicides worldwide. At the same time, therapy platforms report only ~40% male participation, highlighting a clear engagement gap. Loneliness is also rising rapidly. In many Western countries, over 1 in 3 men report feeling regularly lonely, and younger generations are experiencing even higher levels of social disconnection. This is happening alongside a broader trend: searches for topics like “how to find purpose” have increased by over 60% in the past decade, and more than 500 million people globally engage with self-improvement content—yet very few have access to structured, guided systems. Even when men try to improve their situation, the system fails them. • Therapy is often expensive and difficult to access • Self-help content is fragmented, generic, and passive • There is little guidance on how to apply psychological insights in real life This creates a critical gap between awareness and action, leaving many stuck in cycles of overthinking, low confidence, and lack of direction. A major barrier is psychological: shame and stigma. Many men associate asking for help with weakness. Existing platforms are rarely designed with them in mind, which increases distance instead of engagement. This is why targeting men specifically is essential. When a platform speaks directly to them, they feel more understood and more willing to engage. By creating a space tailored to men, we reduce stigma and create an environment where people feel comfortable—where they feel at home instead of judged. This problem is also deeply personal to me. I’ve struggled with mental health challenges myself and was genuinely surprised by how difficult it is to find meaningful, structured, and actionable help. There is plenty of information available—but very little that actually guides you step by step or combines knowledge with real support. That gap is exactly what motivated me to build SoulSummary.

The solution

SoulSummary is designed as a comprehensive yet practical system that combines the best elements of self-help and professional support into one accessible platform. We approach the problem in layers: 1. Free, Accessible Self-Development (Freemium Core) A structured library of guided exercises, journaling systems, and educational content that helps users build self-awareness, understand psychology, and learn how they operate. This will be available for free, removing the biggest barrier: access. 2. Structured Growth System A clear path that helps users move from awareness to action—focusing on values, emotional regulation, confidence, and real-life decision-making. 3. Community & Accountability (Next Phase) Small, structured groups where men can grow together in a stigma-free environment, reducing isolation and reinforcing consistency. 4. Professional Support Integration Affordable access to psychology-trained professionals through group and individual formats, bridging the gap between self-help and traditional therapy. Why This Works • Targets men directly → increases comfort and engagement • Reduces stigma by normalizing participation in a tailored environment • Combines education with action → not just passive content • Removes access barriers through a free entry point • Builds progression from self-awareness to real change • Creates a sense of belonging, not just consumption Execution & Feasibility We are building this step-by-step: • Phase 1: Launch the self-development platform (free tools, content, exercises) • Phase 2: Add structured programs and community elements • Phase 3: Integrate professional support and scale Additionally, I will be joining a master’s program with an accelerator component next year, which will provide mentorship, network, and resources to bring this project to a scalable level. Closing Perspective The core issue is simple but urgent: men are more disconnected, more uncertain, and more alone than ever—yet the systems meant to help them are either inaccessible or ineffective. SoulSummary is built to change that—by creating a platform where men feel understood, supported, and equipped to actually improve their lives.
