The Mission
LoopSpace is a digital collaboration platform designed specifically for the Problem-Based Learning methodology used at Maastricht University. Students currently manage their tutorial group work across WhatsApp, Google Docs, email, and personal notes - creating friction, lost information, and unequal participation. LoopSpace brings everything into one place: learning goals, meeting minutes, resource sharing, and task assignment, all structured around the PBL loop.
The Challenge
Every PBL student goes through the same frustration. Learning goals get lost in WhatsApp scrolls, research articles are shared and forgotten, and no one knows who is preparing what before the next tutorial. Existing tools like Notion or Google Docs are generic and require significant setup. No product exists that is built around the specific structure of a PBL tutorial group. This results in wasted time, poor preparation, and unequal workload distribution within groups.
The solution
LoopSpace provides tutorial groups with a ready-to-use workspace that mirrors the PBL process. Key features include a shared learning goals tracker, structured meeting minute templates based on the PBL format, a group resource library tagged by learning goal, and a task assignment board showing who is researching what. Later features include an AI-powered meeting summarizer and an automatic flashcard generator for exam preparation. The platform requires zero setup: groups log in with their university credentials and their course block is already preloaded.
