The Mission
The goal of Uni2Work is twofold. Firstly, we want to help as many university graduates as possible to find jobs that suit them. Secondly, we want to alleviate the burden companies bear by taking over most of their hiring process, but also by providing them with interns that are actually a perfect fit for each company. Overall, the aim is to create a clearer and faster pipeline from university into the workforce.
The Challenge
Many university students don’t have job prospects when they graduate and it forces them to spend an obscene amount of time on sending job applications to every corner of the Earth. Additionally, they end up taking low-skill jobs that they could have worked even without a degree. There should be a much clearer path for university students to find jobs post-graduation. Additionally, companies spend too much time and money ongruesome onboarding procedures that involve many interviews and and processing hundreds of applications. They also struggle to find the right places to look for adequate candidates, which results in a lower quality of options. Lastly, similar companies exist all over the world. Recruiting companies are nothing new and we recognise that. However, we believe there is a significant amount of improvement needed in this sector, partly evidenced by the fact that both students and companies are often unaware of such platforms existing, or simply them not working at all, suggesting that there is still a lot of work to do.
The solution
The solution for the companies is such that they tell us what they are looking for (in detail), and then we go to universities and scout the best possible candidates, with whom we conduct interviews and build their “character profile”. We identify their strengths and weaknesses, see how well they fit into the company, and potentially conduct tests where required. After that process is done we submit a shortlist of candidates with a detailed character profile back to the company and they select whoever they like best. From the perspective of the candidate, this process is also beneficial because we get to keep the profile we created for them and we can therefore contact them when new opportunities arise, in case they fit the needs of the new company. Eventually, through the client companies and the established candidate profile, we will have enough parties to create a network, where an AI-driven algorithm would assist us in the entire process from that point on.
