Mission Short
My project aims to transform harmful industrial emissions into clean air
The Challenge
Industrial activities release harmful airborne pollutants such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and volatile organic compound that degrade air quality and pose serious health risks to nearby populations. Prolonged exposure to these emissions is linked to respiratory diseases, cardiovascular conditions, and other chronic illnesses, disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities living near industrial zones. Despite growing awareness, many industries lack effective, scalable solutions to mitigate these emissions at the source. There is an urgent need for innovative technologies that not only reduce pollution but also transform industrial practices to prioritize public health and environmental sustainability.
The solution
Our solution focuses on capturing harmful gases emitted by industrial processes and either breaking them down into non-toxic components or repurposing them into valuable byproducts. Using a combination of advanced filtration, catalytic conversion, and chemical engineering, we aim to neutralize pollutants such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. In parallel, we explore pathways to convert captured emissions like CO2 into usable materials such as biofuels, construction additives, or inputs for synthetic manufacturing.
