To make a material to replace plastic in the packaging sector with materials that are actually biodegradable.

The Challenge

Start up centered around the production of mycelium-based materials for packaging applications such as protective packaging and foodpackaging.

The solution

Making a material that is actually human-proof. Where it doesn't introduce more permanent pollutants into nature when disposed of incorrectly. Using a combination of mycelium-based material and biopolymers to produce a composite material widely applicable for several types of packaging. With this packaging, it is even hypothesized that the end of life applications of this material could support biodiversity and soil health.
