The Mission

Our mission is to create a vibrant and diverse student community in Maastricht by enabling the meetups of new individuals and the formation of authentic relationships beyond class. We aim to develop true friendships through the organization of small-scale, spontaneous gatherings where students can actively engage in common interests and authentic conversations. By looking beyond formal university life and fostering actual social interaction, we hope to reduce loneliness, foster integration, and welcome every student with open arms to be an integral part of the community as soon as they step foot in the city.

The Challenge

We have found there is a real problem where students who are new to Maastricht struggle to make connections outside of school. Furthermore, there are no real platforms that address this issue and this is where we come in. There already exist some platforms which share very big events, but small-scale get-togethers are way better for creating genuine connections.

The solution

We want to create a platform that allows students within and around Maastricht to connect with each other through event sharing. The platform allows anyone to start an event and share it for others to join. There are already platforms that do this for big events, but we want to focus on the casual small-scale get-togethers, which can be as small as inviting other people to kick a ball around in the park. We think this will foster some really good spontaneous friendships which can go on to last a lifetime and help students socialize in a new environment.
